Clear production requirements are a prerequisite for selecting a trommel screen. Only by accurately positioning the usage scenarios and core demands can we avoid excessive equipment functionality or insufficient performance. Firstly, it is necessary to determine the basic properties of the screened material, which is the core basis for selection. The particle size composition of materials directly determines the selection of sieve aperture. For example, when screening construction waste, if it is necessary to separate fine materials below 5mm and coarse materials above 20mm, double-layer sieves with different aperture sizes need to be equipped; When screening fine particle materials such as flour, high-precision dense mesh screens should be used. At the same time, the humidity and viscosity of materials cannot be ignored. The chain needs to be made of carburized and quenched roller chains to reduce wear and deformation.


The support device and rack structure cannot be ignored. As a key component supporting the trommel, the supporting wheel should be made of wear-resistant cast iron material, with a surface that has undergone quenching treatment and a hardness of HRC50 or above. At the same time, the contact area between the supporting wheel and the trommel should not be less than 80% to ensure uniform force distribution. The frame should adopt a welded structure of steel sections, and the welding points should be subjected to non-destructive testing to prevent virtual welding and leakage. The bottom of the frame should be equipped with a leveling device to facilitate horizontal adjustment during installation and avoid resonance during equipment operation.
