Daily maintenance can be divided into daily maintenance, weekly maintenance and monthly maintenance.

1. Daily maintenance

Check the operation of the trommel: observe whether the trommel has obvious deformation and cracks before starting the machine, and whether there are obstacles around it. Listen to the sound of the trommel running after starting the machine, which should be stable and without abnormal noise. If any abnormal sound is found, the machine should be stopped for inspection immediately, and the machine should be restarted after troubleshooting.

Check the bearing temperature: During the operation of the equipment, touch the bearing seat with your hand to feel its temperature. Under normal circumstances, the bearing temperature should not exceed 35°C above the ambient temperature, and the maximum temperature should not exceed 70°C. Check the tightness and wear of the belt: Observe the tightness of the transmission belt, and press the belt with your fingers to sink 10-15mm. At the same time, check whether there are cracks, wear, etc. on the surface of the belt. If the belt is too loose or severely worn, it should be adjusted or replaced in time.

Clean the surface of the equipment: After work every day, clean the dust, materials and other debris on the surface of the equipment to keep the equipment clean. Especially on the screen surface of the trommel, the residual material should be cleaned in time to prevent the material from sticking to the screen and affecting the subsequent screening effect.


2. Weekly maintenance

Check the connection of each component: carefully check whether the bolts of the connection parts such as the trommel and the frame, the reducer and the motor, the bearing seat and the frame are loose. If they are loose, tighten them in time.

Check the condition of the screen: check the wear degree of the screen and whether there is damage or blockage. For severely worn or damaged screens, they should be replaced in time; for blocked screens, they should be cleaned by high-pressure water gun flushing or manual cleaning.

Check the lubrication system: check whether the amount of lubricating oil at each lubrication point is sufficient and whether the lubricating oil has deteriorated. If the amount of oil is insufficient, it should be added in time; if the lubricating oil has deteriorated, the old oil should be released, and new lubricating oil should be added after cleaning the lubrication parts.

Check the funnel and the discharge port: check whether the funnel is blocked and whether the discharge port is unobstructed. If there is a blockage, it should be cleaned in time to ensure that the material can be discharged smoothly.

3. Monthly maintenance

Full inspection of the roller: conduct a comprehensive inspection of the roller, including the wall thickness and roundness of the roller. If the roller is found to be severely deformed or worn, it should be replaced in time.

Check the working condition of the reducer: observe the oil level and oil quality of the reducer. If the oil level is too low or the oil quality deteriorates, the lubricating oil should be replenished or replaced in time. At the same time, listen to the sound of the reducer running. If there is abnormal noise, the machine should be stopped for inspection and troubleshooting.

Check the performance of the motor: Check the operating current, temperature and other parameters of the motor to ensure that the motor is operating normally. If the current is too large or the temperature is too high, the machine should be stopped for inspection. It may be caused by motor overload or internal fault.

Comprehensive cleaning of the equipment: Thoroughly clean all parts of the equipment, including the inside of the trommel, the bottom of the frame and other parts that are usually difficult to clean, to prevent the accumulation of debris from affecting the normal operation of the equipment.

Possible reasons: The material humidity is too high, causing the material to stick to the screen and unable to pass through the screen hole smoothly; the feed speed is too fast, exceeding the screening capacity of the trommel; the screen aperture is too small or blocked, which hinders the discharge of the material.

Maintenance method: When the trommel is blocked, the equipment should be stopped immediately to prevent the fault from expanding. Then clean the blocked material, which can be cleaned manually or flushed with a high-pressure water gun. After cleaning, analyze the cause of the blockage and take corresponding measures. If the material humidity is too high, it can be reduced by drying or drying; if the feed speed is too fast, adjust the feed device to control the feed speed; if the screen aperture is too small or blocked, replace the screen with a suitable aperture or clean the screen blockage.

2. Bearing damage

Fault phenomenon: When the equipment is running, the bearing part makes abnormal noise and the temperature rises. In severe cases, the bearing cannot rotate, causing the equipment to stop.

Possible reasons: poor lubrication, lack of bearing oil or deterioration of lubricating oil; improper installation of bearings, too large or too small clearance; material enters the bearing and wears the bearing; bearings are used for a long time and fatigue damage occurs.

Maintenance method: When the bearing is found to be damaged, the machine should be stopped immediately to replace the bearing. First, disassemble the bearing seat, take out the damaged bearing, and clean the debris in the bearing seat. Then select a new bearing of the appropriate model and install it in the correct way to ensure that the bearing is installed in place and the gap is appropriate. After installation, add an appropriate amount of lubricating oil, and then conduct a trial run to observe the operation of the bearing to ensure that there is no abnormal noise and temperature rise.


3. Decreased screening efficiency

Fault phenomenon: The content of unqualified materials in the screened product increases, and the screening efficiency decreases significantly.

Possible reasons: The screen is severely worn or damaged, causing some large particles to pass through the screen; the trommel speed is abnormal, the speed is too fast or too slow, affecting the screening effect; the material is unevenly distributed in the trommel, and there is too much material in some areas, which cannot be fully screened.

Maintenance method: Check the condition of the screen. If the screen is severely worn or damaged, replace it with a new one in time. Check the trommel speed. If the speed is abnormal, check the working condition of the reducer and the motor, and adjust the speed to the normal range. If the material distribution is uneven, the feeding device can be adjusted to make the material evenly distributed in the trommel to improve the screening efficiency.


4. Abnormal vibration of the equipment

Fault phenomenon: The vibration amplitude of the equipment increases significantly during operation, generating strong vibration and noise.

Possible causes: The trommel is unbalanced, caused by deformation of the trommel or uneven accumulation of internal materials; the connecting bolts of each component are loose, causing the equipment to vibrate during operation; the bearing is damaged or worn, causing the equipment to run unstably.

Maintenance method: First check whether the connecting bolts of each component are loose. If they are loose, they should be tightened in time. Then check the balance of the trommel. If the trommel is unbalanced, it can be solved by adjusting the material distribution in the trommel or correcting the trommel. If the vibration is abnormal due to bearing damage or wear, a new bearing should be replaced.


5. Safety precautions

When performing daily maintenance and repair work on the trommel screen, the safety operating procedures must be strictly followed to ensure personal and equipment safety.

Before performing maintenance and repair work, the power supply of the equipment must be cut off, and a warning sign "Under maintenance, no closing" must be hung at the power switch to prevent the equipment from starting due to misoperation.

Operators must wear labor protection equipment, such as safety helmets, gloves, protective shoes, etc., to prevent injuries during work.

When disassembling and installing parts, appropriate tools should be used, and brutal operation is strictly prohibited to prevent damage to equipment parts or personal injury.

When performing high-altitude operations, safety belts must be fastened and safety scaffolding must be set up to ensure the safety of the operation.

After the maintenance is completed, the site should be cleaned up and the tools and parts should be neatly arranged. Then a trial run should be carried out to observe the operation of the equipment. Only after ensuring that there is no abnormality in the equipment can it be put into normal use.
